Becoming a Writer

Do you ever dream of days when folks wrote from their heart?

No AI. No clickbait. No plans to dominate your feed.

Just people posting about how their grilled cheese resembled Jesus.

I know it sounds silly, but I miss the honestly. The innocence. The sloppiness of someone who couldn’t spell and refused to use spell check. Why did it even matter?

Back then we weren’t trying to be perfect. We just wanted connection.

Be Careful What You Ask For

I remember getting tired of those posts.

“Don’t people have anything better to do?”

We asked for more substance. Unfortunately, we are getting more than we bargained for.

It’s hard to distinguish someone’s authentic perspective from a well-trained AI robot.

They write so eloquently. Turning jumbled, raw thoughts into polished prose’s.

Our words have become as pretty as our Instagram posts.

Is this what we really want?

Becoming a Human

Writing should make us better, stronger, and deeper. It’s a tool to explore our thoughts. To scribble out ideas and fantasies that have been trapped in our souls.

Does AI keep our thoughts locked up for good?

What is AI becomes the means, not the end?

What if ii tapped us on the shoulder with suggestions, comments, and critiques?

Can we handle it?

For those who are brave enough, we’d become better writers.

Better developers.

Better makers.

Better humans.
